About six weeks ago, I made my own foaming hand soap. I used 2 tbsp. castile soap, 1 tsp of fractionated coconut oil, and 10 drops of essential oil protective blend. I also added 1 tsp of liquid vegetable glycerin. I have been using this homemade hand soap in a foaming soap dispenser. You put all of the ingredients in the soap dispenser and then fill the remainder of the bottle with water.
I love this hand soap! It is a great way to keep my family from getting sick. The protective blend is known for its ability to kill harmful bacteria, mold, and viruses. It has been studied and proven to be effective with killing MRSA too. Needless to say, you can't go wrong with having the entire family wash their hands with a protective essential oil blend.
Even better than using it to wash our hands, I have discovered that this Protective Blend hand soap is also amazing for treating stains on clothes. With two elementary aged children, I stain treat clothes on a regular basis. It has been amazing to see how it works. I also have a 5 month old baby that we are fostering, and I have used it to treat spit up, blowout diaper messes, etc. I have also been able to successfully use this hand soap to get blood stains off of clothes!! Yes, you read that correctly. Blood stains came out with this homemade hand soap. Anyone who has dealt with blood stain on clothes, knows that this is amazing!
I love the fact that I have found a stain treater that does not have harsh chemicals in it! I love the fact that pure therapeutic grade essential oils is continuing to reduce the toxic exposure in my household!
This is my journey to incorporating essential oils use into my daily life to reduce my toxic load and assist my body to heal itself naturally. There are different grades of essential oils and I strongly recommend that you find one that is a pure therapeutic grade. Essential oils can be used aromatically, topically, and internally. I am a strong advocate of combining modern medicine and essential oils.
